For nearly a decade Rec Room Arts has provided a home for adventurous audiences to encounter the work of innovative artists in downtown Houston. Our common purpose has always remained the same: we believe that theatre is an essential service that can make the world more creative, inventive, and social. We are a tight-knit theatre that thinks differently and creates bold new QUALITY work.

This Spring we are celebrating extraordinary artistic excellence by launching a special fundraising appeal – Champion Our Future.

Our goal is to make Rec Room Arts a model for the future of American theater by facilitating the creation of new American plays and enrich the lives of Houstonians through great theatre. We work to achieve these goals by creating rare theatrical experiences, supporting the development of new plays by Texas writers, and bridging local industries with theatre.
