WOKE AND HALF ASLEEP Live Podcast

Two of Houston's decorated young artists, Emanuelee "Outspoken" Bean and Candice D'Meza are the creators and co-hosts of the podcast. Bean is the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs Resident Artist Program Recipient and Founder of Plus Fest--Houston's first and only of two festivals in the nation to combine poetry with music and performance art.

D'Meza is a mainstay of the Houston theater scene, and has been named "Seven Talented Young Theater Actors to Watch" by the Houston Press and "one of the best theatrical performances" of 2016 and 2017 in the Houston Chronicle. She has been featured in American Theater Magazine and is a current Artist in Residence with Rec Room Arts.
